Opening Ceremony of the Quy Nhon International Outdoor Style Fair 2025

On the afternoon of March 6th, in Quy Nhon City, the People's Committee of Binh Dinh Province, the Binh Dinh Wood and Forest Products Association, in coordination with Vietnam Wood Industry Fair Joint Stock Company (Viforest Fair), organized the opening ceremony of the Quy Nhon 2025 International Outdoor Style Fair (abbreviated as Q-FAIR 2025). This annual event has become an important trade and export promotion event for the Vietnamese wood industry.

Attending the opening ceremony of the fair were Mr. Bui Quang Hung, Deputy Director of the Trade Promotion Department, Ministry of Industry and Trade; representatives from various ministries and agencies; leaders of the Vietnam Wood and Forest Products Association; and representatives from international and domestic organizations, associations, and businesses.

Representing Binh Dinh province were: Mr. Le Kim Toan – Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Mr. Pham Anh Tuan – Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee; the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council; leaders of the Provincial People's Committee and the Provincial Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front; former provincial leaders and representatives from various departments and agencies.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Deputy Director of the Trade Promotion Department, Ministry of Industry and Trade, Bui Quang Hung, emphasized that the Vietnamese wood industry in general and the Binh Dinh wood industry in particular are facing many great opportunities for strong breakthroughs. Currently, Vietnam is a major wood exporting country in the world, ranking second in Asia with export turnover in 2024 estimated at over 16 billion USD, an increase of more than 201% compared to 2023.

Deputy Director Bui Quang Hung stated that global consumer trends are shifting towards sustainable, environmentally friendly products, especially in the outdoor furniture sector. New-generation free trade agreements such as EVFTA, CPTPP, RCEP, and CEPA continue to offer tariff preferences and create favorable conditions for Vietnamese wood businesses to penetrate international markets more deeply. In particular, Binh Dinh's wood industry has advantages in terms of highly skilled human resources, a closely linked business ecosystem, and active support from the local government in developing production and logistics infrastructure.

Speaking at the event, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Tuan Thanh emphasized: Binh Dinh has long been known as one of Vietnam's "wood industry capitals" with more than 320 wood processing enterprises operating, concentrated in large industrial parks such as Phu Tai and Long My. In recent years, the province's wood processing industry has continuously developed strongly, with the export value of wood and wood products reaching nearly 1.1 billion USD in 2024, accounting for approximately 621% of the province's total export value.

With a business-centric approach, the province is committed to creating the most favorable conditions for businesses to invest, produce, and conduct business effectively in Binh Dinh. Provincial leaders highly appreciate the efforts of the Organizing Committee and participating businesses at the Fair. This event not only promotes trade in the wood industry but also contributes to promoting the image of Binh Dinh – a dynamic, friendly, and potentially prosperous destination. The province considers this a crucial event in its wood industry development strategy, helping the wood processing and forestry products industry continue its growth momentum in 2025 and beyond, successfully achieving the target of exporting $20 billion worth of forestry products by 2025 as outlined in the Sustainable and Efficient Wood Processing Industry Development Plan for the period 2021-2030, approved by the Prime Minister.

Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Tuan Thanh expressed his hope that Q-FAIR would not only be a place for trade, but also a platform to promote the sustainable development of Vietnam's wood industry, enhancing the value and position of Vietnamese products in the international market.

Q-FAIR 2025 brings together over 1,200 booths across 30,000m² from more than 100 wood industry businesses worldwide, showcasing modern interior and exterior furniture and lifestyle products. This is the most important event for Vietnam's wood, furniture, and handicraft industries. The fair not only promotes the strengths of Binh Dinh's wood industry but also provides opportunities for businesses to access new production trends, increase added value, and build sustainable brands. This event further affirms Binh Dinh as an attractive destination for investors in wood processing, furniture export, and interior and exterior products.

Q-FAIR 2025 offers numerous opportunities for cooperation, market expansion, and sustainable development for Vietnam's wood industry. Beyond product displays, the fair also features specialized seminars, business networking forums, experience sharing, and the introduction of advanced technologies in wood processing and furniture manufacturing. These include: supporting businesses in updating information and adapting to new regulations, particularly the European Union's Deforestation Regulation (EUDR); developing large-timber plantations; sustainable supply chains; and the application of digital technology in wood processing.

The Q-FAIR 2025 International Outdoor Fashion Fair in Quy Nhon City took place from March 6-9 with many exciting, attractive, and useful activities for businesses and visitors.
